They don't make 'em like they used to. They really don't! "Built to last" sounds nice but how on earth would our economy grow if your stuff actually DID last for a decade or more? 

I lot of things these days seem to be made to self-destruct. About 5 days after the warranty expires. Is the default to get your broken toaster fixed? Not in my world. Because a) where do you find a toaster-repair person? and b) repair costs... it's "cheaper" just to buy a new one. Right? 

What do you think of the Manifesto? Repairing is better than recycling stands out and feels true.
