the ReFab Diaries
It's March, 2020. Many of us are now living "in lockdown", or we're "sheltering in place" or doing whatever your community calls "stay-at-home 24/7". If you're doing this with young children, I empathize. I'm home with a 9.5 year-old Ms R.

So as we come up with crafts that we love, and that require only stuff that you probably already have in your home, I'll share them here.

Since my daughter was a toddler, I've been refashioning her clothes (see here, here, here, here, and here.) Why go to the trouble? Well, because I'm me. Also, kids tend to outgrow clothes before garments are actually worn out. Or, they destroy some part of an item (stains, rips etc) while the rest of the piece is in great shape.

At the beginning of 2016, I committed to trimming my waste. After years of using this blog to gently reinforce the message that mindless consumerism is a problem, I decided to take off the gloves and declared my intention for the year: to trim my waste. Because we are literally consuming ourselves. And we need to wake up.

THIS IS MY 2020 UPDATE!
