I'm currently in South Africa, visiting my parents on the west coast. They live in small town (traditional fishing village) called Velddrif. My mom is chairperson of the local craft club (go figure) and today I attended the club's weekly meeting.
As a reward, I was a treated to a private crochet lesson from a pro. This blanket is unreal... and honestly, the chances of me actually producing one of these beautiful things myself are slim. But I spent an hour with a creative force. She let me film a few of the more mind-bending steps. And I now feel inspired to at least start producing wildly colored circles! Oh, and I left with samples of each "step" plus the pattern. Hooray for ageless creativity.
