Upcycled art with book pages | the ReFab Diaries
If you've been refabbing with me for a while, then you know that upcycling old books and book pages is a recurring theme on this blog.

Over the years I've demonstrated how to turn old books into folded sculptures, a planter, a hanging vase, a clocka purse and more. I've also published lots of ideas for how to use just the pages

Not surprisingly, the art I've been making for the last few years also incorporates book pages. I've been asking multiple times if I can share the technique I use for painting on these pages. While I'm no art teacher - and have no plans to try to teach anyone how to paint - I can definitely show you how to prepare a mixed-media surface that will hold paint without warping and buckling. It's all in the video - enjoy!
